Psychological meaning of passing your theory test

I am keen on psychology and it has always been my passion. This year I am about to finish my education in high school and start studying at a nearby university. My dream profession would be a doctor, a psychiatrist if possible. This is why I obviously want to study psychology. The social aspects of this discipline interest me a lot, too. Last month I was given a task to carry a research in my neighborhood. The subject of my research was the psychological meaning of passing the driving license theory test. I just had to walk from man to man, from door to door sometimes too, asking the met people about their opinion on the role of theory test in the total perceiving of the process of getting the piece of paper called the license. Most of the people I had the pleasure talking to, claim that theory test has no, or little meaning when it comes to the license as a whole. It does not require a lot of time to get prepared too and its prestige is quite low, too. The vast majority of candidates manages to succeed on the test and this is why no one pays attention to this case nowadays. Of course, there were some examples when people claimed totally the opposite, but they were rather single cases that are not even worth paying attention to.
